Position Overview
Soliant is seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Math Teacher to join a school district in Florence, SC full time for the 24-25 school year. The ideal candidate will inspire a love of mathematics in students, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a supportive and engaging learning environment. You will be responsible for delivering a high-quality math curriculum that meets state standards and accommodates diverse learning styles.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the diverse needs of students in grades [9-12].
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
Assess and evaluate student performance through tests, assignments, and observation, providing constructive feedback.
Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources, including technology, to enhance learning.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and classroom activities.
Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the school community.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.
Collaborate with other educators and staff to support school initiatives and goals.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
Valid South Carolina teaching certification in Middle School Math or eligibility for certification.
Previous experience teaching middle school math preferred.
Strong understanding of math curriculum and instructional best practices.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Commitment to fostering a positive and equitable learning environment for all students.
