These are onsite contract positions with a highly regarded district that prioritizes student growth and staff support.

? Position 1: Behavior Support Classroom Elementary (K-6)

Certification Required: High Incidence
Type: Self-contained classroom

  • Caseload: 3-4 students (with possible summer enrollment)

  • Student Needs: Varying cognitive levels; some near grade level, others below

  • Classroom Goal: Support transitions back to general education setting where appropriate

  • Support Staff: Full-time RBT and paraprofessional

? Position 2: Life Skills High School

Certification Required: Low Incidence
Type: Life Skills classroom

  • New position due to program expansion

  • Caseload: 58 students per teacher (students split into two classrooms)

  • Student Needs: Cognitive and adaptive challenges; adaptive curriculum tailored to individual needs

  • Support Staff: Each classroom includes a dedicated RBT and paraprofessional

? Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement IEPs aligned with student needs

  • Differentiate instruction based on academic and behavioral goals

  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families

  • Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings

  • Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment

? Requirements:
  • Valid Kansas Special Education Teaching License

  • High Incidence certification for Elementary Behavior Support

  • Low Incidence certification for High School Life Skills

  • Previous experience in a similar setting preferred

  • Strong communication and organizational skills
